MCA Achievement: RUNNERS UP & BEST TEAM COORDINATION AWARD in National Law University, Delhi Insolvency and Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition 2018 in Association with IBBI, UNCITRAL CAP & INSOL (16-17 November, 2018)

It is a matter of great pride and happiness that the moot team from UPES School of Law is the RUNNERS UP and also, Team Wih Best Coordination in National Law University, Delhi Insolvency and Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition 2018 in Association with IBBI, UNCITRAL CAP & INSOL held at National Law University, Delhi from 16-17 Nov 2018.  Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, Ms. Shruti Reddy, and Ms. Ritam Arora are the official faculty mentors of the team.
The team consisted of the following students:
1) Shubh Agarwal
2)  Sahil Bhatia
3) Tushar Behl
4) Abhijeet Srivastava

The team has been awarded following prizes:
Runners UP: Trophy, Certificates, Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000 and a set of books by Taxmann
Team with the Best Coordination: Trophy & Certificate



At the outset, the team expressed their sincere gratitude to the entire MCA, under the able leadership of Faculty coordinator Prof. (Dr.) Mamta Rana, and also to great enthusiasm & dedication of Faculty convenor Mr. Ashish Jain, setting the high standards. The team expressed sincere gratitude to the faculty mentors as it would not have been possible for them to succeed in this prestigious Moot Court Competition without 27 *7 support & guidance of faculty mentors.


Mr. Shubh Agarwal, the member of the moot team, said “experience was really enriching as the insolvency law is in its very initial stage of development in India and changes are constantly coming and, by participating in NLUD Insolvency & Bankruptcy moot we have learned how to argue and interpret legislation of which neither intent is settled and nor there are many precedents”


Another member of the moot team Mr. Sahil Bhatia also said: “We have learned practical aspects of law with the combination in commerce and I suggest that every student who has interest in corporate law should go for this moot court competition”.
