MCA Achievement: WINNERS in 2nd National Moot Court Competition held at Swami Devi Dyal Law College, Panchkula on 2-3 Nov 2018


Dear All, 

It is a matter of great pride and happiness that the moot team from UPES School of Law are the WINNERS  in 2nd National Moot Court Competition held at Swami Devi Dyal Law College, Panchkula from 2-3 Nov 2018. Ms. Poonam Singh is the official faculty mentor of the team.

The team consisted of the following students:
1. Lovepreet Singh, B.Tech-LLB (specialization in Cyber Law) 3rd Year
2.Sachet Sahni, B.Tech-LLB (specialization in Cyber Law) 3rd Year 
3.Shivangi Sharma, B.Tech-LLB (specialization in Cyber Law) 3rd Year

The team has won Winners Trophy along with certificates for being WINNER of the competition.

Mr. Sachet Sahni, the member of the moot team, has expressed sincere thanks to Moot Court Association for the support at each & every level. He said “The most important aspect which we have learned through this moot court competition is handling pressure at crucial situations and still staying calm. Also, being from 3rd-year B.Tech-LLB and having no idea about IPC, this moot opened the knowledge gates for us and we were enlightened. The judges appreciated our flow of arguments and most importantly, we had prepared a compendium for both the sides which was highly appreciated by the honorable judges present there. Honorable Justice (Retd.) Amarnath Jindal, Punjab, and Haryana High Court and  Sr. Advocate Pawan Kumar(Supreme Court) were the judges for the finals and were quite impressed by our ability to answer the questions by quoting the relevant authorities cited, courtesy the compendium.”



Another member of moot team Ms. Shivangi Sharma also said: “I am pretty sure our win will motivate the other students of B.Tech.LL.B. to come forward and participate in external national/international moot court competitions”.
