MOOT ALLOTMENT FORM: XVI INTERNAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION, 2021

Greetings from the Moot Court Association!

As per the Allotment Rules 2021-2022, each participant can participate in a National Moot twice a year. The first allotment will be formulated on the basis of the below-attached form. And subsequent i.e. second allotment will be formulated as per the moot blog notifications.

 For the purpose of allotment of moot each team has to fill the form attached below. It is mandatory for all the teams to fill this form.

INTERNAL MOOT ALLOTMENT FORM

Please note the following rules regarding the allotment of moot (National Pool):

  1. The students will have to form the team on their own according to the ranks and compatibility with other participants. 
  2. The MCA has created a tierwise list of Moots which can be found in the Allotment Rules. Please note that the said list is purely tentative and participants are free to choose moots which are not part of the list. It shall be at the discretion of the MCA to determine in which tier a particular moot falls, although concerned teams may propose in which tier the moot falls. The decision of the MCA shall be final and binding.
  3. For the academic year 2021-22, winning team and runner up team of the XVI Internal Moot Court Competition, 2021 will be given preference in their FIRST ALLOTMENT in allotting the moot court competition of any TIER. The teams reaching the Semi-Finals will also be given preference in their FIRST ALLOTMENT in allotting TIER 2 moot court competitions. If these teams wish to apply for a TIER 1 moot, no preference shall be given and moots will be allotted according to the rankings they have secured.
  4. The above mentioned rule will be applicable only if the same team with same combination shows interest in any National Moot Court Competition
  5. For the academic year 2021-22, only the teams whose average team rank is less than or equal to 25 shall be allowed to participate in TIER 1 moots.
  6. Teams shall apply for National Moot on the basis of their 'Average Team Rank'. [Average Team Rank =  (Rank of Speaker 1 + Rank of Speaker 2 + Rank of Researcher 1)/3].
  7. Teams are allowed to change the members of the team.
  8. Teams are allowed to give only 4 preference for National Moot in the form.
  9. Teams are expected to thoroughly read the Allotment Rules 2021-22. Any subsequent issues due to negligence on part of the team shall not be entertained.
Teams have to fill this form latest by 15.11.2020 (11:59 p.m.)

NOTE: IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL TEAMS TO FILL THIS FORM. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL DISENTITLE THE TEAMS FROM CLAIMING ALLOTMENT THROUGH THE MOOT BLOG.
